Approved Contractors Application Form (First Stage)

Read the following information:

Full Requirements for Becoming an Approved Subcontractor with Construct Unite Ltd.

Updated: 6 days ago

The Construct Unite Ltd Approved Subcontractor List is a strictly curated group of trusted partners.

We work only with companies and professionals who demonstrate consistent quality, compliance, and professionalism.

We aim to maintain at least three approved subcontractors per trade to ensure operational flexibility and high execution standards across all projects. This platform is completely free to use. There are no fees associated with becoming or remaining an approved subcontractor. However, inclusion on the list requires commitment to our values and the highest service standards.

1. Background and Legal Checks

We perform due diligence checks on directors and key managers of every applying company. This includes criminal background checks for offences related to dishonesty, fraud, violence, or safety, as outlined in the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974.

All checks are conducted in accordance with UK data protection law (GDPR). Applicants with unspent convictions in these categories may be disqualified.

2. Financial Due Diligence

To assess financial capacity, we will:

- Perform credit checks using reputable data providers

- Review the credit standing of your key suppliers (if applicable)

- Check VAT registration and tax payment compliance with HMRC

- Evaluate your credit score and overall financial health

If financial standing is insufficient, Construct Unite Ltd may request a Personal Guarantee from a director or parent company.

This guarantee will protect against non-performance, delays, or financial shortfalls.

The terms will be outlined in a separate agreement.

3. Insurance, Licences and Regulatory Compliance

We require applicants to hold all relevant insurances, including Public Liability and Employer’s Liability.

We also verify professional accreditations and licences, and ensure all Companies House filings are up to date and compliant with UK regulations.

4. Documentation and Agreements

All subcontractors must read and sign the official Construct Unite Ltd 2025 documentation, which includes:

- Collaboration Agreement

- Confidentiality Clause

- Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA)

Failure to complete and return these documents will result in immediate disqualification from the approval process.

5. References from Past Projects

Applicants must submit a complete list of past projects and clients from the last 3 years.

This must include full client names, contact details, project descriptions, timelines, and scope of works.

6. Performance Reviews and Ongoing Evaluation

After every completed job, the client is required to submit a performance review of the subcontractor.

These reviews are publicly listed on our platform.

Poor performance or negative ratings may lead to removal from the Approved List.

Reapplication will not be permitted after removal.

All subcontractors are expected to:

- Provide clear and fair pricing

- Offer a minimum 12-month guarantee for all completed work

- Resolve issues proactively rather than create them

- Treat clients with full respect and professionalism

- Ensure every team member is properly verified.

Each approved subcontractor must be capable of participating in one of the core projects managed directly by Construct Unite Ltd, in addition to direct assignments from clients who contact them via the Approved Contractors list.

Construct Unite Ltd is committed to protecting our clients and ensuring they feel safe and respected throughout the construction process.

If you meet these expectations and are ready to deliver quality, we welcome your application.
